Peladow^TM Calcium Chloride Pellets - the premier snow and ice melter. Peladow^TM is your safest choice for deicing parking lots, driveways, walks and steps.

Dowflake^TM Calcium Chloride Flakes - Does not chemically attack concrete and if used as recommended, will not harm vegetation. Calcium Chloride is used as a Calcium source for certain fruits and vegetables. Better yet, Calcium Chloride leaves no powdery residue.

Magnesium Chloride Flakes and Magnesium Chloride Pellets are effective as total ice-melters. Magnesium Chloride is less corrosive on metal surfaces and concrete, is less toxic and environmentally safer than Calcium Chloride and Sodium Chloride (rock salt).

Sodium Chloride (Rock Salt, Halite) - is the most commonly used ice melter, is inexpensive and melts ice at temperatures above 20° F. It may be harmful to vegetation, but is considered safe for concrete.

Liquid calcium chloride is less corrosive than salt and melts snow and ice at temperatures less than 20 degrees F, the temperature at which salt becomes an inefficient deicer.

Ice Melter Blends contain 90-99% Rock Salt and have the same benefits/disadvantages as Rock Salt.
